Algonquin is the highest point in the distance 2nd highest peak in NYS. 4K vertical. Never. Run.
Ted in morning sun. Birches reach for the sky.
Into the light. Look carefully and you can see the hikers ahead of us. Steep. Ice. Same shot, just blocking the run. The reflection is ice.
Ted ascends. Note to self: pack the gloves next time. looking back east to Whiteface/Lake Placid Getting closer.
